What tie rod ends are best to use, Moog pro forged or?
I need a front end alignment, how to account for radial tires?
Thanks

I don't know what sort of mileage you put on your car but is it worth twice the price for Moog tie rod ends versus Mevotech ""original grade" units ??

Well, I did order Moog parts, hoping they are still good quality, this is for my 68 Barracuda , just need to know the settings for alignment with radial tires.

I would try for as much positive caster as you can. Most likely you will be at positive 2 to 3 degrees. Camber negative one to zero degrees and toe 1/16 to 1/8.

These settings work well for daily driver. I'd plan on the offset bushings for the upper arms to ensure enough adjustment.

NITROUSN and Ruderunner both have good suggestions.
however, Moog's quality has been of question for at least the last 10-15 years, due to offshoring a lot of it's products.
in my opinion [only], Proforge is the [somewhat] go to manufacturer these days. i have used their products, and the ones i have used seem to be of better quality than today's Moog stuff, especially the longevity of the ball joint and tierod boots.
as to the Mevotech brand, i have also used a few of their products on my caravan [the "bus"], and they seem to be lasting and performing as they should. it should be noted the "bus" is not a drag strip terror, nor a canyon carver. biggrin

Well I did order Moog parts, it was pro forged I was trying to remember, it was the Skosh chart I was thinking of also, alignment tech says he has done lots of classic with radials so it will get done correct. Thanks

Firmfeel has them in the bigger 11/16th's too. Not cheap but good quality is worth it IMO

Edit: you're looking for tie rod ends. I don't know if they have those.

Thank goodness National Moparts is only 25 minutes away, while doing my brake conversion and front end work, I have been there 6 times for parts in the last 3 weeks, again up there again tomorrow.
