I know about the late '70s PU's being diesel, but never seen a car with a diesel from the factory. I'm guessing someone did this swap during the second gas crisis...... 1971 Dodge dart $12,000 Rare 1971 dodge dart diesel. All documentation dating back to new, every receipt for anything ever done to the car. Many cool upgrades ( power windows, power breaks, power antenna ect. ) solid no rot. Runs great and gets 35 mpg. Many extra parts included. Nice turn key car. I can only find 2 others on the internet 1971 Diesel Linky John The dream is dead, long live the dream.......😥

What are the 2 things sticking out of the firewall, just to the left of the heater hoses? Was that for AC? Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck. DBAP

Slow as molasses but got great mileage! Glad I still don't have it...LOL.. Had I known it were some sort of semi sanctioned conversion I would of bought it to play with. It was in good shape and under $1500. Or maybe it was a good thing I didnt. STOP POTATO HATE!

Well I can see why they didn't sell many of them, the conversion costs more than the car As a side note, A 904 and a 7.25 "Follow me the wise man said, but he walked behind" '92 D250 Club Cab CTD, 47RH conversion, pump tweaks, injectors, rear disc and hydroboost conversion. '74 W200 Crew Cab 360, NV4500, D44, D60 and NP205 divorced transfer case. Rear disc and hydroboost coming soon! 2019 1500 Long Horn Crew Cab 4WD, 5.7 Hemi.

The Aftermarket Bully Dog Propane boost system for Diesel Dodge Rams had noticeable boost on hills. What could a modern knowledge of cylinder head porting do to peak output?

Unique piece and I wouldn't mind owning one, not at 5 figures though.
