I bought this many years ago, IIRC it's for a van but will also fit B bodies, but don't know that for a fact. I has what appears to be cracks, but they are from casting. The box is also supposed to hace the ball bearing in the cover, it's never been mounted.

The compatibility problems with different boxes largely boils down to output shaft, or sector shaft size. First, there are two sector sizes, simply known as large or small sector. The large sector, just above the splines as it exits the housing, measures 1.22". The small sector measures 1.11".

62-76 A-bodies, 62-72 B-bodies, and 70-74 E-bodies all used the same manual box. Most of these boxes used bushings throughout, however, the B-body V-8 units were built for more abuse and used bearings internally instead of the bushings.
All manual boxes used a small sector shaft with the exception of C-bodies and vans to 1988. The big cars and vans used a large sector, presumably for added strength. It's also assumed these boxes used bearings instead of bushings.

Years ago I had an NOS box that was for an F body.
It didn't have a box, it only had a parts tag wired to it. I was going to use it in a 70 Dart, till I found out about the large sector.

Box is dated 10-9-84 part is stamped 6-25-84. 4023 starting PN would fall into line as well. shruggy

Early 80-s truck/van?

Probably get $200

yup that canted top plate tells you its a van/c body one. While not hugely sought after, $200-300 for one you know isn't worn out doesn't seem bad. I have a used one I was trying to get that range for and the guy said no thanks. I sold another one cheaper but to a friend. It was also used.
