Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what this part is called (see pics)? It goes from the rear of the rocker to the rear frame rail just
in front of the inner wheel housing. Behind the leaf spring bracket.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Yes, I know it is a rust bucket, but it is my rust bucket lol.

Thanks,
Jim

Sorry, I don't know what the part is called but just wanted to thank you for bringing this one back to life!

Isn't that part of the rear torque box?

Hi Cuda340,

I don't think this one had the torque boxes? It was only a 383 4 speed.

But that may be a good idea, I could probably use them to replace this part?

Thanks
Jim

Floor pan I’m thinking, or the piece it’s welded to, you’ll have to make that up. I’ll look at my 72 later, only thing not replaced on it from rust is the roof, pass kick panel and rockers. Replaced with As many original pieces I could find (glad b-bodies are close)

I believe you are looking for this piece. I know the piece well and have replaced many of them. Here is the Ebay link:

It connects to the rear part of the inner rocker to the outside part of the front part of the rear frame rail. It mounts right in front of the inner wheelhouse as it connects the inner rocker to the rear frame rail.. Hope this helps? Rob

Here is another link for both Lh and Rh sides:
