Back in 2008 I put these on my 68 Charger stickshift car along with “then” new SS springs. They were closer on the front side to qtr.. From memory, they had about 1” clearance. Went out for a test session on a pretty deserted road near me. Did a burnout and1st test launch after little spinning they hooked and bent the leafs. permanently bent front segments. The rear axle moved forward during this and the tires got into the front part of the rear quarters. Cut the tires some and and messed up the wheel trim a little. I pulled those garbage springs off and went with Caltracs and 275-65-15s until they came out with 295/55-15 (which fit perfect and give me the width).

Do your 295/55s hook well?

Do your 295/55s hook well? I can only say the newer SSsprings did not work at all in my case. They actually bent and stayed bent. Maybe an older set (pre-2000) are better quality? The Caltracs on my car work very well. The drag radials I run are MT ET Street and work pretty good on the street after a little heat is in them. Car pulls good with them. And the caltracs work very well at the track. Super consistent.
