Will the idler and pitman arms clear
the 402 oilpan in an A body big block?

I think it will hit a 402, I can't remember the number that works but someone will reply that does.

No it's going to hit , cheapest A body conversion pan is the c barge 187 pan but it has no baffles , which you can add.

Thanks guys I already have a 187 pan,
looks like I will have to cut it and add
an inch. Probably will not gain much in
oil capacity but won't drag the ground.

The 187 holds the same amount of oil as the 402 pan .

Thanks for the info John I thought
the 402 pan held 5 qts. and the 187
held 4 qts.
