rotor Most Mopar distributors require phasing
I've found that words like always, all, none, and never, as well as "most" can really get a person into trouble.
So what you're saying is, if we were to go back in time, and gather up "most" Mopar distributors, made from, say, 62-78 or thereabouts, that MOST of them, as in, "damn near all" would be seriously out of phase, so much out of phase that they just absolutely REQUIRE the owner to replace the cap and rotor every, what? week? month? and the "magic cure" I'd guess, is to send it to YOU the absolute authority, the one guy who has a distributor machine, the ONE guy who has the mojo? Now, I'm simply thinking out loud here, to be clear, that is, so, do "we" have it right?

OOOHHH!!!! I think I gots it now this hole in the cap...dont they drill a couple holes around the cap to stop the miss fireing from the ionazation(sp?) build up or something like that? thats what I was stuck on your talking drilling a hole and checking alinement of the rotor and term... after going and looking at the old dist<i guess you cant remove the rub block for the points were the reluctor would be...DOH!!
