Tractor Supply, they still have solid (non-cogged) belts.

I dislike seeing a cogged belt on a earlier mopar. I have had good luck finding Mopar belts on ebay. Some of the later mopar V belts can be had fairly cheap. Those later versions usually start with a B000 number. The part number will tell you the size and width. Example https://www.ebay.com/itm/174079563706

So if the belt I took off is 47.57 o.c. and .44 width what would that translate to Mopar number ?
thanks

Look at the belt guide on the back of the belt. This one should be 48 1/2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184185051799

I bought some belts from Quanta and they look pretty legit.
Got them from Classic Industries.

I don`t know for sure and maybe they have changed but if I remember correctly that the people who used those belts had problems with them stretching.

Interesting - I hadn't given it a thought. - but thanks for the heads-up.
So I googled around, and there are numerous posts on different forums - including a Vette forum - about the Quanta belts stretching, twisting, and/or "flying off".
Whether that's still an issue years later, I can't tell, as there were no posts more recent than 10 years ago.
I'll have to see if anything else pops up before I install the things, and the existing belts appear fine and operate quietly anyway.
My thought at the time was to put the most correct ones I could find on the car; but I won't run junk if that's the case.

Years ago I had read the same negative statements regarding quanta belts, well I bought them and have had ZERO issues. Have them on two vehicles one of which they have been on for at least seven years and I have never had to retighten the. I’m currently doing a third car and it will also have them. Oh I am not an employee, relative ,etc.etc of anyone from that company either. Finally they do look the part, do not know of a belt that looks more original than an original.

So i think i have right belt size now 1/2 by 47.5 but now the belt is to big for the pulley on alternator. Do they make different size pulleys for alternators ?

1/2 is too wide. Pulleys should be all the same for those years. Just single or dual groove

The car I’ve had them on for seven years several hundred miles a year average over that period.

I put resto belts on last year and they were pure garbage. Stretched within 100 miles. Trash. Think they were quanta. I found some Continental belts at Summit that at least have flat and not cogged.

I want my fair share

Here in Canada I replaced mine with the same Dayco I had been running for years for my 360.

he is looking for original looking belts, I assume he means not cogged.
