Don't 61 Chryslers have electrolumenescent gauges (lighting strips, no bulbs)? I've never messed with a 61 Chrysler, but my 67 Charger has the electrolumnescent setup. The lighting is high voltage ac, wired in series. Besides the lighting strips, the gauge pointers are "hot" as they light up too. If one gauge goes out, or there is any kind of short anywhere along the way, the oil pressure, temp and gas gauges all quit working. If this doesn't apply to 61 Chryslers, just ignore this post.

I tend to agree that it's pretty unlikely all three gauges went TU but, to eliminate the IVR as the problem, I would hook up a 6V dry cell lantern battery as a power source just to be sure.

The gauges as said are standard. They have a coating so they glow with the lights for the dash.We bought 2 NOS power packs for the lights.Rocky
