I went through HELL on the TIPM, lost the right trailer light, then would lose the BUS occasionally between the cab and the engine compartment, then other lights started being intermittent. mobdro 2022

My wipers died , right turn signal lost its mind , truck stalled 5 times in 2 days , lights stay on with switch off , Im going to try and hard reset and clean all the plugs and connectors . The main 12v cable at the tipm is pretty corroded

those corroded connections can cause all kinds of goofy problems.
be sure to look closely at that connection to see if the corrosion/green death goes into the cable under the insulation. more than likely it does, and a replacement cable is the best/only solution.
sorry to have to say that, but i have replaced way too many cables that have had that happen.

On my 2005 Ram, I got that error for brake and turn signal lights. Replaced the lights, and it is OK, but they were not as corroded as in the picture.
I did replace both headlight assemblies because the plastic was no longer clear.
Currently only electrical issue is the rear door locks are not working?

I lost right trailer light also on my 04 Ram 2500 because of bad TIPM. Everything else worked fine.

After many years, I just traded the truck in on a new Ram...fixed the problem instantly!

TIPM. 99%. They corrode inside between the layers of circuit boards and where the pins go into the plugs. Horrible design! Bought one of these trucks a while back. Ended up replacing the TIPM and 6 of the plugs on the bottom. NOT a 15 minute repair but the truck has been running 5 years now. Lots of small wires need lots of patients.

I wonder if one of the mild anti-corrosion liquids could be used as a soak on a TIPM ?

WD-40 is very gentle but takes a long time to dissolve white crud.

Caig Laboratories Deoxit D5
is very good AND very quick,
but very expensive
compared to WD-40.

A lot more than that. There are many small mini relays just like the common Bosh relays that fail.

i have taken one of those things apart "just because".
not sure where it came from, but i knew i would never use it, so i had a fun time.
as crowbait said, i found a little corrosion between a few pins and plugs between the layers, and i thought to myself, it was an overly complicated/costly way to make an item.
i wonder how many "atta boy's" the engineer that came up with this idea got...........
