My 2015 Ram blew a trans last year (at 280K) and an engine this year (at 340k), and both were replaced under my Lifetime Powertrain Warranty with no issues at all with the current company, so count me in as a satisfied owner!

So imagine you are negotiating with a Stellantis dealer on a new vehicle and you are still far apart on price.

So you offer:
Well if you want me to pay that high price, ya gonna have to throw in more value:
(1) free Lifetime Powertrain warranty
(2) free set of FSM manuals,
(3) free specialty tools unique to making DIY repairs

What is the “wisdom of Moparts” on the $ value of 1, 2, 3 items above?

Like so many things in life, it depends. If you are an accomplished DIY that is scared by nothing, Door #2. Just a comment, I don't know what the current status is of FSM's. When I tried to get a set for my 2010 Cummins the best I could do was a CD. If you don't want to contend with any kind of problem in the future, Door #1. Door #3 IMHO is pretty much worthless. Many of the tools use components from previous years and invariably the special tool you'll need you won't have. Just my twocents

Doesn't really matter. They'll only go so low with the price and then they'll show you the door. They don't really care what reason or methodology you have for your offer. They only care about the profit margin on the sale.

I don't think #3 is feasible at any price. 1 & 2 Maybe but they're not going to be free shruggy

They're not going to waste their time. There will be another buyer waiting to pay MSRP or more, because that's the world we currently live in. Buyer has zero leverage.

#1...not likely ...as stated it's the seller's market

#2 all computerized and many are inter-active requiring dedicated software

#3 the list of specialty tools required for late model vehicle repairs is very long(and very expensive)
