Would a slant 6 , 727 have the same numbers No the bellhousing, which is part of the maincase casting, is totally different between the /6 and the small block .
running up my post count some more .

note the starter location in the other two pictures JK supplied. small block has starter at roughly the 4 o'clock position, while the big block starter is at 3 o'clock. my easy way to tell them apart at a glance.
