I am working on a friends 70 r/t challenger that has a classic auto air compressor, condensor, and evaporator. It has special made braided lines for show that are not from classic auto air, he is also running the serpentine belt setup. The car has a mild built 383, a "be cool" 4 core aluminum radiator, and a set of dual electric fans.

Now for the problem, I went and vac'd the system down and pulled a good strong vacuum on the system, checked it for leaks...none present.

I charged the system with the recommended 24oz of r134 freon, and the fans work, the compressor seems to be working, and i know the expansion valve is working, but the lines at one point felt cold going into the firewall, but no cold air blowing into the car.

I checked the hot water valve, and it IS closed, so i vac'd it back down, and recharged it again and now my gauges show good, but the lines are both warm and the compressor is on, but it is making noise like it could be bad, but what do you guys think??????????

they were hovering around 20-35 on the low side, and 100-125 on the high, but it is cool here and low humidity, plus the car has a pretty choppy cam so it fluctuates a little.
