[ How do you remove the flanges on the ends of the 2 drain tubes to remove the ac evaporator and drip tray from the heater box . They seem to be crimped on there tight and will not pry off . do you use heat to remove them ?? Thanks in advance for any help .

spray them with some penetrating spray & try turning them a little at a time

Ive had good luck removing them by going inside the tube with an angled pic and pull the tab loose from the inside.

Soak them with some PB blaster and then with a pair of channel locks grip them around the outer flange of the outer tube and rock back and forth turning them slightly each way going back and forth till they slide off

Ive never had to use heat, and keep in mind they are soldered to the tray , so heat risks breaking them loose from said tray

Those buggers are usually crusted on. Probably because of the dissimilar metals. Those are copper tubes they are attached to and easily damaged like Bill said.

The tubes have a pair of tabs/barbs that keep them on. Again like Bill said, good idea to lift those tabs up with a pick. PB Blaster is miraculous. I just used it to get old rear discs off my sons Mustang. We beat on them for an hour. Finally ran up and got some PB. Sprayed a few times and they almost FELL OFF.

Those are NOT being reproduced.

I'm unfamiliar with this topic. Anyone got any pics of what is being discussed?
