"G" is the plant code for St. Louis which built Dodge Dart/Plymouth Valiant cars from '73-'76. I believe 6-cylinder cars got the non-OD trans and V-8's got the OD.
I agree, why not just shift into 1st gear and count the turns?

On the non-OD both levers are up, on the OD the front lever is down...this is because OD is located where 3rd is on the non-OD. OD is .73-1.
If you want the 3.09 gears in a non-OD, you can also find them in the '64-'65 /6 and 273 trans.

I did that and it's 3.09 1st. My confusion is in 3,4th and with the lever needing to be up or down with a od and non. One gear is 1:1 and the other turns the output around 1.35 ish. So I must be a OD unit? Disregarding the lever orientation that's what I get when turning the input 1 turn Any time you get the output to turn faster than the input you have an overdrive condition. So yes, you have an OD unit.
