Doctor Diff has rear drum assemblies including the backing plate. Either that or find something in a wrecking yard or switch to a disc brake.

Mopar Madness has complete loaded rear drums for $490 on E-bay.

Dr. Diff is a bit cheaper.

The 8 3/4 should have 3" axle tubes. Either 8 1/4 or 8 3/4 should work. Should be some of that stuff around for less than $500. You might hit the B, E, and full size for sale section.

If you buy a brake "kit" be sure it comes with everything you need for the parking brake. I bought one built similar, cut down C-body in an A-body, and brakes were included but didn't include the parking brake arm so I had to take them mostly apart to stick those in.

Years ago I installed the backing plates/brakes/drums off of a 7-1/4(out of an 82 Cordoba) onto an 8-3/4. They bolted right up...unless my memory is becoming fuzzy.

LBP 10" brakes off a 7-1/4 will bolt right on an 8-3/4. Just make sure your axle bearings are spaced correctly for the LBP brakes. They will also fit an 8-1/4.

SBP brakes off a 7-1/4 won't bolt on to either. The wheel bearing is smaller.

I thought 7-1/4 rears have a 4-bolt backing plate while an 8-3/4 has a 5 bolt... shruggy

Small bolt pattern do have the 4 bolt retainer. The 73 and up big bolt pattern have the 5 bolt and the bigger axle bearing.

10 x 2 1/2" backing plates will bolt to a C-body housing if you grind the top of the housing ends.
