Is there some cheap aftermarket or even a "not mopar" brand of car I can get a pump for to mount outside the tank to run an EFI system on my old car? Would need around 50psi or more.

Think cheap...

not really. The new cars since the 90's maybe earlier are in tank fuel pumps.

The cheapest one I found was the MSD pump from summit. Right at 100 bucks.

Walbro GSL-392. Check out this chart for the fuel flow. The 392 is the "high pressure" 255 version in the far right hand column. I've run these pumps in two different cars, tons of fuel flow and very quiet, can not hear them run over even a stock 4cyl exhaust.

Swapped 84 Daytona Turbo drivetrain into 81 Charger. Had a 80's Volvo going to crusher sitting at the shop, fuel pump worked in the Charger.

Here's a thread I started a while back. Not many options under $100...

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.
