some are customer cars, some are Marks, and some are parts cars

about a year or so ago they put up a HUGE outside tent/garage that holds dozens of cars,
and, he just got a very large building to also store cars inside

and any deterioration is really only affecting the amount of work GYC has to do, the price quotes are already locked in with customers, so there isnt any additional charge to them regardless if it suffers from any deterioration.

Maybe Mark is like some of us, myself included, and he can't help himself and buys up some Mopars with big dreams and that's why he has so many in his yard. I have to admit if I had a lot of space I'd have so many lined up.

It would be great if Mark could show more A bodies. He has teased us with a red '71 Demon, but they just show it getting painted, that's it. I think he also has a '69 440 'Cuda he is working on, but again just short bits of film footage on that car as well. While I enjoy seeing all Mopars...a little variety is nice too, besides 68-71 B and E body cars every episode. I do remember Mark Worman saying one episode.... "A body cars aren't worth anything"...has he seen the current prices of A body's lately? work

Ive watched maybe an hours worth of the show ,,,,and that was spaced out over several shows over several years.
So one could say Ive never really 'tuned in ' so to speak. at least not intentionally

I simply couldnt get past the clown act to feel it was anything close to serious

The first several seasons were focused on drama and they’re difficult to watch. To Worman’s credit, he did listen to viewers on FB, Twitter, etc. and he added more technical information and less BS.

Can't remember the last time I watched it, then yesterday I saw it was on. Starting on a '68 GTX. Changed the channel after 15 minutes. Too much BS.

It’s ok. The tech can be a little dry but I have to give them credit for toning down the “humor” and deep diving on some of this stuff. I think they need to break things up a bit, maybe cover some of the national shows and just talk to some owners. Not everything has to be a sob story, but that’s television these days. I really wish they would do a dealership tour ala the Rapid Transit Caravan.

Worrman doesn't allow his employees to attend any car show, A cast member told me that. Beside, Mark is afraid to fly, he won't travel to any major shows.

A few years

Mark does allow his employees to make appearances at cars shows/events.
Since they would be appearing as a member of GYC the arrangements have to be made through GYC,
not a promoter circumventing GYC and contacting the employee directly.

On the show thing, I can just imagine if Mark had employees attend a show while he stayed home or got Tony to do it, probably doing face time on the phone with the screen keep going back to Mark on the phone screen telling the person on the other end they are a nimrod or whatever for not looking at the right part of the car or quizzing them on the color and options codes... that would be annoying yet probably interesting for the first couple minutes.

I find the show entertaining. They don't design those type of shows for us, because they already know we're going to watch, they're going after the bigger audience. I would also prefer more time spent talking about specific tools or products, but I have a bunch saved on DVR to use as future reference material. I've learned quite a few things from that show, the biggest being painting my own car is beyond my skillset.

If you're interested why not call Mark? No two jobs are apples to apples, so Tony's turn around time is likely to be different than yours.

Real turn around time is 7-9 years, yeah you read that right ,7-9 YEARS . My friends car has been there 6 1/2 years and that A 12 car featured recently was there since season 2 which was 9 years ago.

So you already had the answer you wanted.
Maybe if you didn't have a hidden agenda and asked the question more completely, like "how long was your car there total?", you would have gotten a different answer.
I took your question as how long did the restoration take, not how long has it been there.

Dave's A12 Bee has been done for well over a year maybe 2. But i agree it was still too long.
Do you also know how much the restorations cost?
ALOT less then just about any other shop would have charged.

Maybe I should have phrased the question like this: How long does a car sit there deteriorating before work is started? If its 2-3 years and the resto takes 2 years that's 5 years , totally egregious.
