Good evening everyone On my 70 Cuda, it has factory disc brakes. I recently got the rotors turned and was informed that they are at the end of their life (done by a quality business).
So original small bearing rotors are getting tougher to find new. I was looking at maybe up grading to the newer style big bearing rotor. I had recently redone the entire braking system with all new pieces. I have brand new pin type calipers.
I noticed Dr.Diff has those conversion sleeves for the spindles If I use the later rotors and the conversion sleeves, can I use everything else (calipers, mounting bracket, etc)?
Thanks for any help given

I still have my original 2-piece rotors on a shelf, and swapped in the 11 3/4" Police Taxi rotors. The 2 -piece rotors are more susceptible to warping under spirited use, so I don't run them. I think I upgraded to the correct spindle to avoid the sleeve issue. While I was at it, I bolted on Dr Diffs Econo rear brake kit. I have this same set-up on both my '68 and '70 Barracudas. The modulation and balance is nearly perfect. The '70 has power assist, which is almost too much assist, but it still feels nice when driving. I used an smaller than 1" master cylinder on my '68 and the brakes are great for road course work. Both cars have the Firm Feel metallic brake pads, which I highly recommend.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

has anyone used a drum brake hub and a [common ?] slip-on rotor [like used on new stuff] with the disc brake spindles ? providing a correct diameter and hat offset, as well as the correct hub register could be found. would this type of rotor be feasible to use ? just thinking again. [dangerous, i know...... ]

Well your not going to get 2 piece rotors, but the single are not that hard to find or pricey unless you think $60 is too much for a rotor. Rock auto has them. I have the Centrix on my RR no issue for several years now. Agreed the repro 70-2 "2 pc" rotor is cast in one piece, and is an alternative to those that don't want to run the bearing shells in the 73 and up unicast rotor on the 70-2 spindles....
