Hey fellers, trying to rebuild the front of my '69 440 6 pack stupid bee, I ordered Moog control arm bushings K408.
The bushings are 1.25 dia on the small end but the hole in the control arm is only 1.57 ish.
What do I have wrong here, wrong parts in the box or my uppers were swapped along the way?
Anybody know the number for the bushing I do need?
Ball joint screwed in, I'm confused, wouldn't an a arm from a lower level 318 car use a smaller ball joint?

Thank guys.

ball joints are the same for all b-bodies. doesn't matter what came in it.

bushings I can't answer, but someone should be along shortly.

The bushings should be about 1.17 on the small end. No idea what your measurements are from. All '62 to '72 B body upper control arms use the same bushings.

A and B bodies (and then E-bodies) all used the same control arm bushings during these years (things may have changed with the isolated K-member B-bodies and things did change with the transverse torsion bar front ends).

Thank you for that, the bushings I pressed out are 1.17
Perhaps the Moog boxes I received simply have the wrong parts in them, like c body or truck bushings.
Anyone have an opinion on the repop a arms?

I installed a set, went right on.

They are made of thinner gauge material, I don’t think I would use them in autocross or something similar.

Drag car or normal street use I think they should be fine.

Cool, thanks for the tip.
I figured they were thinner, I'll leave them as a last resort.
