I got a 2000 van with a 5.9 and I want to put it and trans and EFI into 68 Dart....Anyone have a good reference thread on someone whos done this?....The van throttle body pulls from the front, can it just be turned around? the 68 Dart was a 273 car I have an Abody 8 3/4 all ready. I need a chunk for it....sure grip clutch type with 3.23 hoping to find. Thanks for any help.

So I put a 2000 5.9 from a Durango in a 65 coronet. For the throttle, I modified the 5.9 cable so it would work with the original gas pedal. So I didn't change the mounting on the motor at all. I kept my 727 and used an aftermarket system to control the efi. The van setup is a little different, but nice because it tucks the power dr steering pump closer to the engine. Otherwise it sits under the battery tray.

Yes it pulls from the front on the passenger side, that's why I was thinking I could just turn it around...then it would pull to the rear on the drivers side like I need. Using the van pedal may work but then I have a extra long cable that's not really needed. I have a 98 Dakota here need to see what it has. (Edit: Looks like that might work!) Yes I plan to use the van PCM and wiring, I understand the PCM just needs a start, run, and ground from the original car. Would love to put the van instrument panel in too. Looks like it might fit.....
