I bought a vapor separator from YO several years ago... same problem. You probably only have about 2 lbs. of fuel pressue right now.
The smaller fitting for the return is missing an internal restrictor. In other words... you got junk... return it if they let you.
From what I remember - the internal restrictor in that fitting / line is supposed to be about .040. but don't quote me.

I ran into the same issue after adding my new 3/8" sending unit and then buying a 426/440 vapor separator off of YO. I fixed it buy going to my local NAPA and buying their Gold #3054 filter/separator. It is an in-line fuel filter with a return line off of the side of it for $6. Then just clamp on your return line. http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/NO...l+Filter+(Gold)

808: ""just searched on NAPA's site, found a #3041 which has 3/8" nipples"" Good note, I didn't know they had one with 3/8 nipples!! I would guess that the vapor will rise to the top and the filter would have to stand vertical with the 1/4" return to the top.
TB3: Yep, my $65 YO unit is in my attic now. I was told by another member that they are making one of the holes in the piece too large allowing the fuel to run back thru to the tank. Too bad because they "look" like nice pieces. I bought mine two years prior to actually installing it so I couldn't send it back.

Thanks for the info and the NAPA part number - I have been planning to upgrade the fuel system on the Volaré to 3/8" line and this was one piece of the puzzle that was hard to find.

... I thought Y-1 will take any part back with no timeframe on the return ??? ...... Or did they do away with that policy ???

Just realized one dilemma...it has 5/16" inlet and outlet...
I'll check the store out and see if they have a 3/8"

I have an original on my Kuda, and it IS 5/16". From the fuel pump to the carb that's all Ma Mopar used was 5/16".It's a fact and it's all you'll need too.
