JERICOGTX OP I Live Here J Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 10,022 MN	Looking at gaskets for my INDY aluminum block, and Cometic makes a 4.530 bore gasket, and my block is 4.524. Is this too close to use? Should I use a bigger bore gasket? Never had a gasket that close to the cylinder wall before. 69 GTX 68 Road Runner

cl440 master Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 2,560 S.E. Michigan	We use a 4.530 bore gasket on a 4.505 bore block. With the chamfer its super close but OK. I would imagine on your bore with a chamfer the gasket may be in the cylinder a little bit. May want to consider a gasket with a larger bore.
