Where should the heel pad be located in relation to the gas pedal on a B body? This is for a 69 Road Runner. Does anyone have a picture?
Thanks
My search abilities is not so good with this search engine we have.

Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first.
Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

I forgot to ask also, Is there two holes in the carpet for the accelerator pedal or a square cut out? Thanks again...

I think it's slit? I have an original carpet out of my low milage RR. I saved it for a template. If not tonight, I'll pull it ot sometime this week and take a photo of the driver's side configuration.
I did not keep my original like I thought I did. I dug it out but only had the rear half for some reason? However, I cut mine to match the original and took a couple of pictures. The rod goes thru the carpet with a minimal size hole and the carpet is slit where the accelerator cable attaches to the pedal. You may have to cheat a little on fitting the gas pedal in the exact corner of the heel pad if you don't have enough carpet on the sides to cover your rockers...or send it back and tell them they did not give you enough on the edges. Mine was also tight where the front half meets the rear carpet. You have to make sure it covers the rear edge too before you start cutting holes in the front carpet.

I’m taking my time doing this but I can tell I ‘m going to grow tired of doing it real soon. But basically from what you guys are telling me I make sure I have enough carpet by doing a trial fit. Then I cut the hole for the accelerator pedal assembly in the heel pad, and the all the other holes and cut points on the carpet are in reference to this. Here is how I'm doing my holes... I use an ice pick and poke around to find the bolt hole. Then when I located my hole I get a piece of metal tubing the right size and heat it up with a torch. Get ready to insert… Insert.. Wham there you go. No fraying to worry about and a perfect hole.

I just cut mine today and it was to the pinchweld, the sill plate would not sit correctly over the carpet with the carpet over the top of the pinchweld. Make sure to have plenty of sharp clean razors as it cuts the carpet cleanly. They get dull really fast.
