Does anybody know if the combustion chamber on a Stealth head (or Eddy head for that matter) is compatible with the dome on the old TRW 12.5:1 pistons. I have some in my new 383 shortblock and am thinking of stepping up to alloy heads. Thanx

I have the old TRW domed pistons on my 383... Stealths use a staight plug so I cant speak for those, but the angled spark plug on my Edelbrocks is not compatible with the domes.

I'm sure there are some funky spark plugs out there that would work, but I chose to whack away at the piston.

We have E-heads and 14cc Ross domes, the heads are milled .060 we use a AR3931 plug that is a non projected plug, we allso index the plug.
We were using a Arias pistion with a 17cc dome in the old motor and we notched the dome for the projeced plug AR3910, the heads were milled .040 at the time. Bouth pistions were at 0 deck
hope this helps

Don't forget about deck height. Saying this will work without specifying your deck height leaves out a very CRITICAL detail...

Actually what are your deck heights and what head gasket???

You are right I went back and put 0 deck and the gasket was Cortecko .039 thickness. The AR3931 plug with the NON projected tip is the reason I did not have to notch the pistion and was able to use the E-head with the angled plug.
