Most (all?) BB water pump housings have an unused coolant port that can be unplugged for a second temp sensor.

You should be able to drill and tap the housing. Mine from Mancini aftermarket has an extra hole. Others I just do as I said.

I have the same housing but if I drill it to size the hole will get into the mounting hole for the housing bolt

Isn't there a pipe plug on the side of the block near a freeze plug?

440 Source pump housing with the Holley temp sensor and an Autometer sensor.

This is the housing I have on my Hemi right now from Mancini.

Same housing. The two 5/8 holes are heater hose nipples the 1/4 is plugged and the 9/16 has a large mechanical water temp sender in it.

] That would work if I change all my gauges to match, I can look into that but I was hoping for an easier less expensive route.

Get rid of the mechanical sending unit and gauge. Use the small 1/8 NPT hole for the stock sending unit and the stock gauge in the dash. Use the 3/8 NPT for the Sniper sending unit. You don't need the mechanical gauge anymore since the coolant temp will be on the hand held. The temp gauge in the dash will be your backup.

I found an electric gauge that matches the other gauges (I built them into the dash) with 1/8 sending unit so I'm set. Now I will order the in tank fuel pump kit for the Valiant. I was thinking the jeep would get the Sniper if this didn't pan out. Thanks for the input

Yes that will work, or just get rid of the water temp gauge and put a different gauge in there. The handheld display will show you the coolant temp so you don't really need two temp gauges. The hand held also shows you air temp and barometer so it is a built in weather station. If you bought a super sniper then you can see fuel pressure and oil pressure too.

On my car I got rid of the stock dash and installed a Holley Pro Dash.
