Hey guys, I'm looking for pictures of the Milodon single line static external oiling system on a big block with a motor plate. The Milodon #21000 kit and the lo profile pan #30931 is what was recommended by their sales department. Thanks for the help!

I don't know all of Milidon part numbers but I have installed one of their single line external oil pickup on one of their BB/Hemi road race pans in a 1971 Challenger using a 572 pump gas Hemi EFI motor. This car has a aftermarket Oreilly tubelar front K member and their power rack and pinion steering, The car is in a body shop getting painted so no road time on it yet, I did have all the parts installed in the chassis before taking it completely apart for paint and body work
I installed the single line stationary Milidon pickup on the rear of the oil pan sump near the drain plug and made my own oil line for the pickup, it looks good and has lots of clearances between the headers, motor and oil line up
No picture though, sorry blush

ok thanks. The kit doesn't work on my application and I think I may be able to get it to clear the steering with 1 fitting change. It's a '67 GTX with a motor plate, stock steering and 2" Hedman headers.

I have the single line pickup with 2"tti headers and are motor plate. Plenty of clearance.

I had to massage the steering box mounts on both our cars.
Ours are a 66 coronet with the same oil system and a motor plate with TTI step headers and a 67 coronet wagon with the same oil system and a motor plate with TTI step headers.

The oil pump cover hits the steering box mounts.

This is pretty much how I figured it should be, and will probably make as such. The kit cam with 2- 45 degree fittings and really should have either a 45 and 90, or a straight and 90. I also need to do a little removal in the steering box mount area to be sure. It is 2020, so they probably packaged it wrong. Thanks for the help and pictures!

I talked to Steve at Milodon today about my issue. It almost sounded like the may have switched from a 90 degree pan fitting to a 45 because the number 1 tube on TTI headers was in the way. I have Hedman hustler race headers and have a different issue. He told me not to put a straight union coming out of the pump cover, and that you need to have a loop up to keep the oil in the pump from draining back into the pan. He said that is what causes the priming issues. He also said that they put a 45 degree fitting on the pump and face it upward because of this. In my case, I am leaning towards a new hose with a 120 degree hose end at the pump and go to a straight hose end and 90 degree bulkhead on the pan. That should give me a little bit of loop and then pretty much straight down to the pan fitting. Does this sound reasonable? I took a couple pics of the issue that I will post also. Thanks for the replies guys!

1 picture show the best routing with the existing kit, changing the pan fitting to a 90. The other pic kind of shows what I am thinking with the loop and then down to the pan.
