When I was building my motor I read about issues with fuel pooling on the floor of the intake when using TBI style EFI and dual planes. Wound up getting a Torker 383 single plane for my 512 build.

As long as the rest of the build is on par with 550hp, the SD should be able get you there.
Anything that’s better....... is also taller.

What year Dodge truck ? All the 1954 and later Dodge trucks I've own and seen have a lot of room in the engine compartments, especially above the carbs.

A friend of mine had a 1976 4 door ramp dually 1 ton truck with a 400 in it, it seems to me that it had a lot of room above the carb. Does yours?
