The Edmund Fitzgerald was longer than the depth of water she sank in, but that's still DEEP! She broke in half when the nose hit the bottom they believe. Yeah, what a bad & scary way to go! RIP to the brave crew so many years ago.

Very VERY scenic part of the world but you need to be a special person to live there. I was a Michigan resident most of my adult life... only went up to the UP maybe 4 times .... One of the hottest summers ... went to swim near White Fish Point...., Couldn’t do it ... water was maybe 50 or so degrees ...
