Is the sheet metal that originally supported the wiper still present? If you found an original system, does enough of the car still exist that you could still put an original system back into the car? You may still be able to source out original parts, if it would still work in the car. If everything is gone, you might be farther ahead to install an aftermarket system. Newport Engineering makes an awesome after market wiper system, they may have a full kit for your car. Not cheap, but they work. Gene

They have complete systems, with pivots, linkage, motors, switches, wiper blades w/ arms, and motors, but I think you need to call them. I know I've seen 40s GM kits with everything. Since you don't have anything, I suspect you can use any kit they have that will position the wiper blade where they will clear the windshield in front of you. Just another thought, lots of the modern Mopars have the entire wiper system in a plastic tray that needs to be removed to access the motor, maybe one of those set ups can be made to work in your car. Think Dodge Intrepid, and Mopar mini vans, to start with. Gene
