Purchased a part for my Challenger, and the seller sent it out from NY on August 07th. Took five days to go 90 mins away to the next facility in NJ.
Tracking shows still enroute, but no new updates since the 16th.

Anyone else having similar issues with USPS?

Hit and miss, some things go way far, way remote in three days, one I thought was simple was 19 days..... but its not NEW, ive seen this pattern for years.

I have had no issues with USPS.One thing I did notice was a rate increase.

I have had zero issues with the USPS. I ship and receive packages every day. I've learned that much of what the talking heads on TV are hyperventilating about is minor or non-existent. Took me a few years to figure that out though.

I ship 30,000 packages a year. I'd say 70% go through in fairly normal time frames. Both First Class and Priority. But 20-30% take days or sometimes WEEKS longer. Distance has nothing to do with it. Most shocking thing is many "angry" phone calls I get the people act like COVID shouldn't have affected THEIR shipment.

Some highlights of the last 4 months...

- One shipment took 30 days to go Priority Mail from MI to OH. Another shipment in MI going about 90 miles took 2 weeks.
- USPS is NOT updating tracking regularly. First Class many times are only showing tracking once the package is out for delivery or delivered.
- On my website I put notices everywhere that I STRONGLY recommend using UPS or UPS Surepost. I know Surepost isn't great but I've had ZERO issues (other than it being slow) and it has real tracking.
- When I speak to people on the phone I tell them its a 30% gamble a USPS shipment WILL be late and suggest UPS. Slower but reliable. I negotiated new rates that are very similar to Priority Mail.
- Ordered a bed cover for my truck from the manufacturer 40 miles away here in MI. It too 3 WEEKS by FedEx.
- Ordered a small car part from WA. Shipping to MI took 43 days.
- Have many customers ask if I had a "direct phone line" to the post office to find their needle in a haystack. You cant make this stuff up.
- The USPS was screwed up for years. Its only gotten worse with COVID. Every Xmas season is a nightmare. Packages get jammed in storage trailers until the deluge subsides then they are dug out. I've seen it first hand.
- USPS should fail already. It is THAT bad.
- Nope. Insurance doesn't work. All the shippers self insure and will run you ragged before you collect. I cant spend $100/hr of my time collecting on an $30 package. THEY know that.
- Lastly, and I get this EVERY TIME a package is stuck in the system, the customers say "I got a fruitcake/socks/card delivered from my grammy in record time" or "every other package (what, all 3?) have arrived in a timely fashion". TRY SHIPPING 30,000 then tell me how lucky you are. Whats your secret? You could make a fortune with that info.

As stated above, it's usually been OK, but on occasion late getting to its destination.
I've experienced it both sending and receiving.
A couple of times, the selling company took a few days to get it to the shipper, refinish products & wrap material being the slowest in that regard.

I've had a package mis shipped lately. It left the regional PO and went to the wrong local PO. I had 4 ~ 5 conversations with the local Post Master and one phone call to the Regional PO to get it delivered, this went on for ~ 2 weeks. One of the first words in the first conversation was covid. Had another package take a week from 30 minutes away. For the DFW guys, from Addison to Colleyville. That shouldn't take more than two days. 2¢

I might add, MANY, since the virus deal and usps saying things will be slower are opting for the cheaper usps options that take longer. So things go slower.

I've had problems with all of them. FedEx is either the worst or the best, you just never know which one you'll get. USPS can be extremely slow and sometimes just never to be found again. Once I shipped a small guitar amplifier to Spain. It arrived on my doorstep 5 days later. laugh2 You can't make this stuff up. UPS is pretty middle of the road. Might cost a little more and might be slower than FedEx but it usually arrives undamaged. Can't say that about FedEx.

At the end of June, I shipped a set of 4 Mopar pre-68 15x5" wheels to a guy in Sweden - 4 boxes. He received 3 of the wheels about 12 days later, but is still waiting for the 4th one. When we try to track the missing wheel, there is virtually NO information for it other than the day it was processed at my post office. I went to my PO & told them about it & to see what can be done to get more tracking info. They couldn't tell me anything more than what I've been stonewalled with. Of course they claimed Covid is the culprit. Problem is, I don't have another wheel to send the guy! In 22 years of shipping stuff all over the world, this is the only one that has been "lost." Still, WHERE IS THIS WHEEL? It's not like it's a small package that fell between a crack somewhere.

I've been shipping with USPS and FedEx for years. Both have been fine, BUT... I have relatives who work for the USPS and part of the issue is that their shipping depots and transit stations (air transit) are still partially staffed. So, even though you paid for 2- or 3-day Priority, it could take a week or more to arrive. Add in the ever-increasing shipping rates and the revised tracking system on their website (which is just awful - it doesn't really tell you anything other than the item is delayed) and it all adds up to a fuster cluck.

They literally give you a 15 page document to fill out. THEY know the game. They know I cant afford the time to even fill out the form. It would COST me $100.

I'm happy these days when something arrives in less than a week from the PO. Most USPS packages are taking 2-3 times the expected delivery time frame. Some items have taken 2-3 weeks to arrive. I'm sure the airlines slowing down to a trickle are contributing to the issues. USPS used the commercial airlines for much of the priority mail. Well....now there just aren't many flights to service them.
