I'm thinking of going with a radio delete plate and a hidden stereo in my car, and I was just wondering if any of you have tried any of the "hidden" antennas that are on the market. I'm thinking of putting it under the cardboard of the rear package tray in one of the recesses. Thanks for any info!
Some see the glass as half empty, some see the glass as half full. I just drink straight out of the bottle.

Yep, I used a length of foam pipe insulation. I inserted the original fender mounted antenna inside it, taped it in place and then carefully slid the whole thing up under the dash where I used more duct tape to hold it in place. It's been there for about 10 years now. The reception is great and distance wise it seems to get clear reception the same as if it was mounted externally.
Of course I had to fill the hole on the fender with something. This was my solution ... LOL.

They have ones that you can put anywhere. I used one a couple years ago and it worked fine. It was up under the dash, abov the glove box. From Crutchfield IIRC.
Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.

My cars' antena runs up under the windshield. On the glass like the defrosters' painted lines. Works fine, except you can barely make out the oldies it pumps out. [image] [/image] Can't figure it out. One has to work.

Thanks Steve, here's another shot. All you have to do is hit every garage sale for a summer or two and you'll eventually find one ... LOL.
Don't worry if you find a ball that's all scratched up. Just wet sand it with 2000 grit and then polish with compound till it looks like new.
