got new legendary seat covers and door panels for 68 barracuda pearl white.now the other stuff doesn't match.I'm having some interior paint mixed up to match.$100 a quart.sticker shock.I figured it would be a little pricey because it is pearl white, but wow.I dropped the new panel off last saturday to mix and match.today I go back, someone forgot to call me with a price quote and authorization, beacause of the high cost,so now It will be 3 more days.10 days to get a quart of paint mixed.

Sem as well as other companies has quite a few shades of white interior paint. For a 100.00 that paint had better do the job.

The interior "pearl" vinyl does not match the interior paint. If you are doing a restoration save yourself some money.

I'm in the process of finishing up a 68 GTX convertible. Same situation. The door panels and seat covers are pearl, but the head rests, arm rests, etc are basic white. I think they were this way when new.

I had a 27K mile original Hemi GTX and it had the pearl white/plain white inerior. It was all original.

They have 1 new panel.so they are susposed to tint to match.I hope it's right.this is a vert,so new rear side panels are not easily an option.just a restoration of a driver,so exact factory way isn't a big deal.the way it looks now is pretty poor. The upper sections are a different white, also The seat hinge covers are bright white(also new legendary)I was gonna paint the covers to match also, they are very noticable compared to the pearl seats.Should I not paint the those??Is that the way they should be? different. This is dupont interior custom mix.

Are you thinking of painting the convertible panels pearl or the correct white?

I order my paints/dyes for interior from TCPGlobal.com.

They have the factory paint codes scanned in so you can view them.

The white for the hard panels is SEM# TCP8672 1968 Arctic White.

I used summit dupli color with and adhereer on my plastic white door panels and they came out great, anyway I am pleased, I had done the front panels with a mix from the parts store. that cost me $45.00 a pint,so I changed coarse, and they look great with rattle can, clean extra good adhereer and spray.

the paint is for the rear panels.I will paint the top 1/4 of the panel bright white like the doors are.the panels will be pearl to match the seats and front door panels. Is this pearl white color factory correct?what about the arm rests.I need to paint these also.I got new ones, but they are black.so I have to paint those and the rear ones too match.bright white or pearl??I figured pearl so everything would blend in together.I found krylon fusion{ for plastic} paint is very close to the white on the top of the doors.only $5 a can.

If your wanting the pearl to blend in, then i guess you can paint it the pearl paint.

But I don't think plastic panels, arm rests, and other plastic parts ever had pearl on them.

I changed the seats and door panels in my '68 from black to pearl white. Since my upper door frames were black I left the arm rests and hinge covers back. Not original of course, but I was going for a personalized look.
I had some of the 'old school' white pearl so I mixed a bunch in some white paint and sprayed the textured part of the rear panels with it. It still didn't match the new vinyl so I added a bunch to some clear and gave it a couple more coats. It came out pretty good.
Here's the only pic I have. You can just see the edge of the rear panel in the corner of the pic.
