I ran their Dextron 3 for years till I had an unrelated issue with a powerglide that led to me burning up my band. I switched back to type F that I ran years ago only because the Walmart Dextron 3 had a slightly burnt smell new right out of the jug. And that and that alone made it harder to diagnose my issue. My sons still using it in his 727.

Been using the Type F Super Tech stuff in the dragster for years. Just had to have the case recertified and all looked good as new when taken apart. Has at least 7-800 passes on it, been changed a few times. It is in an FTI Glide, Reid cased glide that has had 700-1100 NA HP in front of it.

I just switched out the Walmart F type for ATI F type synthetic. Right after the fluid switch and a band adjustment I notice 200rpm increase in park warmed up and 100rpm in drive and also gain 100rpm increase in stall.

It's all I use.

My transmissions always get double the abuse being a street/strip car.

Never an issue.

I used the Type F in the forks of my bikes. Does that count?

The Walmart fluid came out clean as can be and the bottom of the pan was as clean as I have ever seen after 2 seasons of running mostly street. Was pleasantly surprised I picked up the welcomed 100rpm in stall.

And all that more than likely came from the viscosity of the ATI Super F, it comes in three different weights, not so much at Walmart

I ran a Pro Trans 904 in my Aspen and they recommend Walmart type F for their trannies.
