Just a FYI for anyone doing a big block or gen 2 Hemi CNP EFI setup.
Had my cam position sensor shoot craps after 5 years, magnet must have come loose inside sensor. No damage to anything but sensor. Cost me a 100 for a tow. Will carry a spare sensor from now on, 30 dollar part.

Interesting, did you get a tow because of the part failure or would it not run without the cam signal? Mine will just go to batch fire from sequential if it loses the cam signal. I run that same sensor and it so far has been trouble free, I ran one from a 200,000 mile jeep engine until it started leaking oil out of the top, then I moved to a reman parts house one.

Looks like one of mine. I'll send you a backup for free if it was.

I have that Jeep cam sensor plus adapter from Jerry. But then I found this: https://www.aemelectronics.com/products/ignition-components/engine-position-module-epm and AR Engineering made a slick adapter to drop the AEM "puck" into a Hemi or RB, AR also threw in another timing signal generation wheel so you can get two different signals and chose whichever one works best with your ECU. The AEM puck gives you crank signal plus cam signal so it's a one stop solution. Very slick stuff. I'm still working on my high-pressure fuel system. More parts give you more options so you can never have too many parts wink

Rich it is not one of yours, thanks for the offer though. It is the same sensor (I believe) but it is the jeep 4.0 cam sync with a aluminum adaptor.

That seems like really bad luck or else it was a cheap Chinese knock off part. The OEM grade sensors should last at least 100K if not more.

It was a Standard Motor Products sensor.
No big deal, but I will always carry a spare and a spare crank sensor from now on, both a lot cheaper than a tow. Luckily I was 5 miles from the house.

Andy at AR makes them and I sell and support them. Go to my website and look under Products - CNP for Mopars.
