I just watched this vid last week. thumbs
Pretty close to what NHRA factored them at.

I don't know how much true compression ratio they made that motor have, stock from the factory OEM,not blue printed, they would have had around 9.5 to 1 or lower. shruggy
If you use the NHRA factory blue print specs provided by Ma Mopar to NHRA they will have around 11.3 to 11.6 to compression ratio shock
I use to race in NHRA Stock in division 7 in SO CA, I built two 1971 340 motors for Steve and Linda Meyers, one motor had the early X heads(894) and the other one had the mid 1970 J or U "916"heads, CRS now. Both motors had the same carb and intake, we tested several different ones of both and kept and used the best ones for both race motors, same grind camshaft degree in the same on both motor, I had moved it from 2 degrees retarded to 6 degrees advance. We had tested two other camshafts and tested them the same way, from 2 degrees retarded to 6 degrees advanced. The X headed motor made peak HP of 430 at 5900 RPM and the other motor with the J or U headed motor made 420 HP with the pistons hitting the eye brow around the valve seats on the heads, which is one of the problems when using those heads.
On this six pack motor with lower compression it should make at least 340 to 360 HP at 5500 RPM tune correctly on todays pump gas up twocents
BTW, I shut it, his video, off after the first pull before he started tuning it, as far as the bog when opening the outer carbs that is not hard to fix, raised the float levels to cure it up

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Anyone one else notice that the oil pressure went over 100 psi on each pull.
Also there was no manifold vacuum indication on the screen. I guessing for some reason, they never hooked up the vacuum input signal to the dyno.

Yeah, The motor leans out when the outboards start to open as there is a monetary lag before the fuel starts to flow out of the boosters.
He needs to slow down the secondary opening a little with heavier springs in the pods.

If you slow the outboard carb opening under these dyno or on road cruise conditions, there is a good chance that you'll slow the car down at the track.

He could cut 10 to 20 minutes off his videos by not repeating himself so many times. Man this guy is hard to listen to.

Have to wonder what the owner is thinking giving a 30 over, numbers matching engine to this Wanna-be Youtube star for dyno beating?

He mentioned that is why he only made 3 pulls.

Your little article made the same power as he did

"On factory claims of 275 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 340 lb-ft (3,200 rpm), we got 320 horsepower. Then we replaced the manifolds with a set of headers and got 352.1 horsepower"

They didn't push it for obvious reasons.

By watching the boosters it seems the air flow could be helped with two Stub Stacks like these:

Didn't read the whole thing did you?

"Going back to the factory stock cast-iron exhaust manifolds, a Six Pack replaced the four barrel and we got 356 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 382 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm"
