Under the 440 fuel pump for removing the push rod. Is it suppose to sit flush with the block? Goes about 1/2 way and gets real tight.

Mopar had some short NPT plugs for that fuel pump hole, regular NPT long ones work okay also up
I may have had to grind off one of the outer edge off of one or more to make sure the bottom edge of the fuel pump bodies wouldn't touch the plugs scope

it's a tapered pipe thread. I wouldn't be concerned as long as it's snug

Make sure to use a sealer and do not over tighten as previously mentioned. It is a tapered pipe plug and doing do can crack the block. beer
