This is my first nitrous post. Just had a motor built with two Dominators, Hogan intake and a wet nitrous system. Although I doubt I will be using any nitrous for a while, I’d like to wire it all in while setting up the rest of the car. I’ll be running a 200 horse max shot maybe even 150. What would be the best way for me to activate the system? I’ve been told that a wide open throttle switch on the carbs and an activation switch inside the car would be a good system.
Suggestions and opinions would be appreciated.

A micro switch on throttle works for a lot of people. I actually prefer a button on the shifter to activate the system.

Look at Leash Electronics. They make a lot of great products that make wiring and control much easier!

is this a big or small tire car?
A grid or other "programable ignition will be great to pull timing and control the hit at first launch
Progressive is a good idea, but any decent chassis should be able to handle a 200-150 hit, or just timing should be able to calm it.
Yes throttle switch is best bet, if using a transbrake you can wire a relay to interupt the throttle switch when the brake is activated.

....BAD A$$ STREET CAR.....

iagree I prefer a WOT switch after having done it many different ways now. I also highly recommend Leash Electronics' products.
For just a 150-200 hit, depending on your car...you should be fine w/ just a timer if you wanted some ability to control when it comes in w/o spending the money on a progressive.

Yes, this is a big tire car. And I’m also running the MSD grid module so maybe I could tie it together so it pulls timing out of the motor?

Thanks for the responses.

Pretty sure you can do everything you need w/ the Grid.
