List is from around 1989. I forgot about that 67 Bel four door. There use to be a four door in Europe is this the one. I wonder who owns that Hemi Wagon and if any others are out there.

There is a monthly feature in Hemmings Classic Cars called "I was there" where a different person each month who worked in the auto industry in the 50's, 60's or 70's in some capacity writes a article about his experience. There have been articles by engineers, designers, factory line workers and more. A year or two ago there was a "I was there" feature by someone who'd been a west coast regional sales manager for Chrysler in the 60's, and one story he shared was about a time a casino in Vegas really wanted a wagon with a 426 hemi to use as a courier vehicle or something like that. They had engineering review the request, and after they researched the work required, they gave the casino a pretty high cost estimate for the special order, something like $3000-4000 to put a hemi in a wagon. The casino decided that was too expensive and didn't place the order. I need to dig through my clutter and find that issue, that was an interesting "I was there"!

I believe there is or was a picture in one of the NHOA News Letters of the four door Bel. I think the Four Door Bel. was blue in color but I could be wrong that was 35 years ago.
There is a picture of Richard Petty standing in front of a 1966 that has the 426 Badge on the fender and the body line looks like a Wagon. In the picture you can not see most of the back end of the car only about the middle forward. I think it was in a Hot Rod Magazine. Petty Ent. maybe had some extra badges for the picture in front of the car who knows it could of been the real deal made for them by Chrysler.

The one I reference was dark green- not the blue one. Please refer to the Best of Moparts archive, the thread "66-67 Dodge & Plymouth, 4-door Hemi cars". My father ordered it new, bought it back in 1973 and owned it until stolen in 1980.

I heard Bill Harrah ordered a Hemi wagon in 66. he also owned the dealership in town here at that time. he also owned a 66 Hemi satellite that is currently in the auto museum in town. I have also heard he ordered anther 66 hemi car and gave it to a family friend. Supposedly, he ordered the wagon to transport money between his casinos in Reno and Lake Tahoe
