Anyone with an original 1968 Dart 383 with an automatic trans (8.75 rear axle) that could share some pics of the driveshaft? I’m trying to understand if the driveshaft I have is the original. Below are a couple of pics of what I have. I know it's been rebalanced given the change in shape of weight. The measurements appear to match up to Galen's Book (FIW).

Looks like mine Thank you for the feedback! I was more concerned with the elongated taper at the one end. The measurement was not exactly matching the parts book/Galen's pocket guide, but I'm sure it could be due to manufacturing variance.

Here is a link to a post I added on to for driveshaft cleaning. de rusted driveshaft. Look for my post on 11/15/17. I think mine looks different than yours. I have a 68 383 auto. I probably have better photos on my PC if you want to see more.
