If your asking about using a wrist pin bushing in a aluminum rod there is no way I would consider doing that tsk
The expansion rate of aluminum to the wrist pin bushing material will not be the same tsk
In other words your messing with fate asking for a accident, failure, to occur twocents shruggy

I understand what Cab is saying but a few years ago I spoke to both Southland Machine and Keith Black about bushing a set of KB hemi alum rods to reduce the pin size to 1.03. Everyone said no problem and that that rod had ample amount of material. Southland said they would make their own bushings instead of buying off the shelf. Project never came to fruition (needed block and crank) but I wish now it would have.

measure hole size at room temps then stick a rod in the oven, get it hot, and then measure the bore for before and after dimensions. then you can make a decision based on real time information.

Just have bushings made out of similar aluminum. Give about .002 press fit then hone to size. Do not use bronze or 6061 type aluminum. Expansion rate is much greater. A 7075 aluminum would work. When measuring make sure rod and bushing are at the same temp.
