Hi,

I'm using a Moparr Motors Detroit bolt guide and it states that the lower alternator mounting bracket bolt always uses a washer. Page 203. On page 233 is a drawing showing no washer but shows one on the upper bolt that passes through the spacers. Can I get some clarification? Is it an A/C non A/C difference. Thanks

Hi Bill,

The bolt I'm referring to is not the adjustment bolt for the belt tension but the lower bolt that passes through the slotted bracket and the triangular bracket securing it to the engine. Again, the book says washer but the drawing says no, drawing shows washer on the bolt that goes through the heater hose bracket, triangular braket and alt. spacers. Thanks again.

here is the page from the book saying the lower ALWAYS uses a washer which seems to contradict the drawing.
