I am sure this has been discussed many times, so pardon me for the repetition. I am having to replace the starter cable on my '68 Dart, It has a 360/904 and headers of unknown brand. I can't even get my hands or tools up in there to reach the studs on the starter to remove the nuts on the old cable. I have unbolted the headers but they only drop out an inch or so before hitting the steering pump and column. So what comes next? Jacking up the engine? I need someone with tiny hands and a flexible shaft ratchet----
Suggestions?

I have a '71 Satellite with 440, power steering, tti headers and a mini-starter. I've not removed either the headers or the starter with the motor already in the car, but before installing the motor, I found that I had to put both the header and the starter on together. That is, because of the steering box, neither would go on with the other already in place. You'll have to unbolt the header from both the head and at the collector, unbolt the starter, swing the header out at the bottom and maneuver the starter out straight down. You may also have to come up from underneath to get at the nuts/bolts. Good luck.

Header and collector fasteners out, Guess I'll have to pull the starter, if I can reach the bolts.

Just remove the torsion bar. You'll be glad you did...
