You might want to grab a cheap one at a starter rebuild place or a wrecking yard before you get too far into the project. Sometimes the mini starter doesn't fit with certain headers and/or blocks. If you have a cheap core sitting on the shelf you can make sure it fits before you buy a new one. Depending on your combination you might need the RobbMc starter.

What Pman said! The starter I’m using was from my 95 Ram 1500 smile

That’s a good point Andy. Fit like a glove with my 727. Only issue I had with 904 swap was the R3 block. Iirc it worked fine with our stock block build and 904

Go buy one from Napa. Lifetime warranty. Make sure the battery stud won't hit the block.
