Curious if anyone has any feedback on any of the old MP rocker arm assemblies for the Gen II Hemi's?
Looking through the old catalogue and knowing how affordable the SS rollers were compared to anything else I've seen makes me go Hmmmmm.
Also, that Landy may have had a hand in their development, and I haven't heard of any failures, which you think you would if they were garbage.
Interesting also, that they went from stock ratio (whatever that's supposed to be lol) right to 1.7 on the mechanical offerings.
Dang, I'd be happy with a complete consistent 1.6 set!
Gotta be someone out there that has feedback or knowledge of these is use : )

In typical MP fashion....... I have two catalogs from different years. For the forged steel non-roller rockers, one catalog says the 1.65’s and 1.7’s are intake rockers...... and the other says they’re exhaust.

To bad I can't get them anymore. The dealership that I deal with ( 25 years) would bring stuff like that in for me and verify without me having to commit to purchase. I remember a miss listing on a Massi head that I had them bring in and it turned out to be just a 2.2 4 cyl head. If it would have been the Massi I would have cleaned them out! lol

I collected several of the steel non-roller type, both NOS ones from MP and a couple used sets of OE....but it will be awhile before I can check them, and to be honest with the cam and springs I've chosen for my current build I think I will probably go with Indy or one of the other less expensive roller tip styles.
The next one down the road will be more tame than this one, maybe with a solid flat tappet and those stock style rockers will get used later on for sure.
Maybe I should mock them up and post the results? But maybe it wouldn't be of any help, I dunno.
I don't have any of the roller tip style/commonly and probably correctly believed to be sourced from DLI so maybe that wasn't the actual question..........

I think with all of the rocker controversy, more and any info can't hurt, that's for sure! And I was asking about any of the MP offerings, roller, mechanical and 1.7 ratio mechanical.

I have them in my engine and they are the roller tip ones. When the engine had to come back apart we noticed that some had oiling holes for the push rod tips and some didn't. I guess QC is no a part of MP game plain. That's good to know! Any issues with the lack of oiling holes? How did they all look wear wise?

They only had about a 1000 miles on them when I had to re do the eng and that is when we found them. The machine shop jigged em up and added the holes and also some holes to squirt the roller tip, even though that probably wasn't really necessary. Wear wise, they looked ok. Be aware that with the roller tips and stock valve covers, the exhaust will beat the cover enough to put holes in it. Remember the old days when everybody had covers that had been welded up? So All roller rockers do this? Dang, was thinking maybe the MP units would be bolt-on and no modding : ( Maybe I just start looking for some wide pad mechanical stockers and start measuring...….

Yep, roller rockers and stamped steel valve covers.........been there, done that. Took me 2 tries to get the clearance right.
I have an unused set of what I believe are MP non roller rocker assemblies that I will never use now. In case anyone was interested.
Master, again and still

So from everything I'm reading/ searching and understanding about the stock valvetrain, If one were to stay with mechanical rockers, these offerings from Mancini would be the best bet out there! https://www.manciniracing.com/indy14.htmlAffordable, better precision and quality control then factory stuff, and even a slightly Better ratio at 1.6/ 1.55. Surprising I don't see or read of more people going to them.

Be careful. those appear very close to the generics sold on ebay for $500 every now and then. Check the reputation out carefully.

So Mancini sells Junk now?
Man, guess I've been under a rock all these past years. Could have swore they were stand up 20-30 years ago lol
Having said that, has anyone tried them? If they are better than the stockers, which apparently aren't that great, and there are no other offerings closer to Home, I would have no issues running them, regardless of where they were made......

Someday when I get the money, I'll get a set of Stage VI rockers. Here is a side note, a lot of Fuel cars have roller tip intake rockers and non roller exhaust. This as well as the Indy's clearing the stock stamped V/C are great pieces of info! Really surprised there is no sticky'd thread showing all of the rocker options and their pro's and cons after all these years! So Indy can make rollers that clear the stock steel V/C but no one else can? If that's true, I would think Indy would be the way to go for most wanting to run roller rockers. Really surprised the MP's don't clear and says nothing about it in the catalogue.
