Your flat round disc is also called a bushing driver. That's how to do it.

Take them to a trans guy and pay him to do it before you cause yourself more work?

I use an adjustable cam bearing driver with rubber boots for mine.

yO Rr .... how bad was that original bushing ? HONESTLY- in the many trans jobs I’ve done way back when -!i don’t think I ever replaced maybe LESS THAN 6 ext housing bushings ! That a rare part to fail - in my experience

Rr.., well I’d CHECK if there is any slop in the bushing to slip spline - and IF within spec ....
I would suggest doing something more productive - like plowing through a sNoW dRiFt !! coffee

Yes the rear bushing rarely fails. They don't need loctite.

& with it going in the stock car, if it leaks out the back or front it ain't gonna hurt anything in a 30 minute race so what I could do is save em for when I do a DD & at that point in time get a kit WO the bushings. What I will do is take your advice & fit the yoke & go from there. EDIT & no loctite

You will have no issues if you have a cam bearing tool, tap right out and back in. I will warn you on the front bushing that after installing it try the fit on the converter, make sure it has a little clearance and no tight spots or it may destroy the converter snout. Almost never an issue but check it.
