Looking at getting some TTI 2-1/8th step headers for my street car.
Automatic column shift.
Steering is a power rack-front steer ,so really the only concerns are torsion bars and shifter. I can fab anything required for the shifter .So that is a minor issue.
Has Stage 6 heads ,straight plugs.
Looked on their webpage and lists the shifter issues and sparkplug clearance mods.
Would like to hear about actual users opinions...........

What car and which engine? I have the 2 1/8 low deck headers on a 470 with Trick Flow heads and I've come to conclusion that I should sell these headers before I use them and put something smaller on the car. The headers fit very nicely but they use up all of the space so it is difficult to access anything once they are installed.

Dennis I have those on my wagon(67 b body). They fit very well except the starter. They are really close. I used lava shield mat to protect the starter. Not sure about the column shifter. Whish I could help more.

Ok

Straight plugs are not going to work unless you beat the crap out of every tube. I have them on mine with angled plugs and they fit good except #5 which isn't possible to even get a socket on the plug without removing the header. So come spring off the drivers side comes to ding that tube.

Not happy....

On the plus side I do have way more clearance around my shifter (B&M Floor Shifter) cable than the 1 7/8 headers did.

EDIT Oh yea Spark plug boot is pressed hard into the tube, didn't live long....

Aurora, Oh.
I have these headers on my 63 B body with the -1 heads. The plugs are angled and I can get to them but I could not see using a straight plug head with these headers.

I put step TTI headers on the 67 this time around, they are nice quality ..

the only thing I ran into was, starter fitment .. crazy tight, tried 3 different ones

all recommended by TTI .. used the clockable one , it helped a bit

still had to make a small clearance spot in one tube 1/2" round, 1/2" deep or so ..

If I would of had T-bars the struggle would of lasted much longer

Hmmm
So straight plugs are a tough go.
Not crazy about the starter being tight either.
The engine is lowered 3/4" ,I modified the mounts for the Patriot Headers I have on it now.
They fit Ok on the 383,but not the 440. They weren't listed as B or RB specific.

So my choices are ??

Dennis I have edelbrock performers, angle plug. I run straight spark plug boots. I do use the heat socks on themand never had an issue. Also very easy to change plugs and no issue getting a socket on.

Ok

OK,thanks.

As stated by others straight plugs are a Bi-ch. catfight
I have another set of Hooker 5209`s. I may try those. Not ideal for what I`m trying do. But known to work.

Thank you to all those that replied with experiences bow

i have a set of 2"-2 1/8" step TTI's i got at carlisle this year for only $175, but the bozo that "clearanced" these had NO CLUE how to use a torch and hammer ! eek spank
good deal for me, but i will replace the bashed sections of tubes with a little more "refined" clearance. biggrin
just the machinist skills showing in me.

+ Stage VI heads...

Are you planning to purchase them new? If so, my suggestion is to consider the standard 2" TTI headers, instead. I can go into more details why, if you want. Long story short: fewer fitment issues, from my experience using them in my Challenger with Stage VI heads and a RB block.
