Pro mod guys would never want to run as many race as NHRA pro Stock has on the schedule so that would have to go. Same wth the factory stock class that guys are hoping for.
1970 Duster Edelbrock headed 408 5.984@112.52 422 Indy headed small block 5.982@112.56 mph 9.42@138.27

3 teams pretty much control the whole thing, have all the talented people and the technology tied up, and have the money to do it, along with some rich kids who can pay to come along for the ride. I don't know the solution. Maybe let carbs and scoops back in. Maybe throw the Dodges and Fords some bones; RPM, weight, cubes. Hate to see it go away. Especially hate to see the the premier NA class replaced by a bunch of boosted/N2O crap.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I do not know what the fix is, but the NHRA has been less than hospitable too them in my eyes...This was always one of my favorite classes. It is one of the reasons I got into racing. I used to love watching the Dodges, Fords, & Chevy's duke it out....Now I am dating myself with that one, but we are all racers for one reason or another.
To think that NHRA is going to fix it when they don't understand why attendance is down in the first place means they need a house cleaning because they don't get todays racing.
Lets put this a different way, how are the Street Outlaws doing? Seems like they are able to draw big crowds...If NHRA can't figure out why they are as big as they are, there is no hope...

Neil: YES
"Pro Stock"? That's where "these cars are just like the one you can buy"? Not interested.
