Two questions, can I run them tubeless, and can I run them on a 14 inch wide rim? They save 16 lbs over what I run now.

And yes...Likely a bit more rollout than what you have currently

I've been amazed how much better my 10.5wx31 M/T were with tubes. Consistency is night and day better.

Thanks Al and FM, I have the same rollout as these are , but will be on the wide rim so I assume I will lose a bit going up two inch over measured rim width?
If they will hook as well as the 2078 Goodyears, (33x15x15 Stiff) it ought to pick up a few hundredths in ET. 16 lbs lighter, plus less drag, plus more air pressure, I assume? I have never tried anything on this car except a 14.5x15 radial drag slick, which almost crashed my car.

FWIW we run a 29.5x10.5 on a 12" rim on the Vette. Our dragster has a 33.5x13.5 on a 16" wide rim, and my Stratus will be sporting a 33.5x10.5W on a 16" wide rim if we can get the tranny figured out at SCSN.

Not to seal the thread, Al, but do you run the 29.5x10.5 on beadlock rim, screwed, or just glued ?

I don't run tubes, in fact we don't run them in any of the cars. All three have double bead locks though. We have run with tubes on the 29.5x10.5 stuff in the Vette and we were actually slower. FWIW I think any option will work on a 29.5x10.5 deal. Glue works well for most. I would not use screws, and beadlocks just make life easier.

FWIW the dragster and my Stratus both 60' 1.0X and the Vette is usually 1.13-1.15

33 x 10.5W-15 are huge.
Why such a big tire, couldn't you get away with a 31 x105W?

You can run them tubeless but I wouldn't. They really are made for use with tubes. 16" wide beadlocks are best for high HP applications. We've made literally hundreds of runs on the 16" wheel version and well into the 3's 1/8th mile. They actually are a great tire once you get them figured out.

Too much rear gear already with a 4.56 driving a 103 rollout Goodyear.

4.10 with a 10.5wx31 would haul.

That would bring my rpm in the traps down a couple hundred to about 7200 from 7400 i would guess ? Doug, why do you think a 4.10 rather than my current 4.56, and shorter tire would be faster, and where would the gains be, 60 ft or down track, or both?

The 10.5Wx31 should hook at your power and weight. Any bigger will just slow it down. Depends on converter slip for your trap RPM. Mines about 7300@150 with a 4.30 10.5wx31. I'd love to run a wider rim as mine are only 10". Not enough room. Been numerous 1.25 60ft this year (foot brake 3345lbs). Last 2 passes were 1.25, 85 passes on the tires. I'll bet there's even more left if we tighten up the shocks.
