Currently run Goodyear 15x33x15 2078 slicks, trap 7400. 14 inch rims, Torqueflite, 4.56 gears,3065 lbs. 1.25 to 1.27 60 ft, 8.90 et.
I only have room for 17.8 section width.
I am considering Hoosier 32 x13.5w #18245
,but am concerned about trap rpm going much above 7500. Opionions on the Hoosiers vs Goodyears? Other options?

I am a huge M/T fan myself. I have run all three and for my the best results have been with M/T's over time. Goodyears work well until they don't and it seems to be like flipping a switch. Hoosiers worked fine as well and held air better than M/T's for sure. But my best results have always been M/T's, best 60's, best ET's.

M/T doesn't have a size in stiff sidewall for my rims or section width, from what i see. So it looks like the Hoosiers are about my only option, unless i try a 12 inch rim and try the 10.5x33 mt.
DVW, do you run tubes?

I have always run Hoosiers. Love them.
Always ran tubes in bias ply tires, dont in my current radials

Why couldn't you run the 33x10.5 on a 14 inch wheel ?
I run a 28x10.5 on a 12 inch wheel

Yes I run tubes. Plenty of guys running 33" on 14" rim. Mine are 31". I'd like a 12" rim but only have 10". Still works pretty good, 1.25 60ft last weekend.

While it is LIKELY enough tire for your less than ideal suspension. the 10.5x33w on a 12" wheel should be similar diameter. 14" will shrink it, but again most I have seen use a 14" and currently the 'outlaw' guys are beadlocking a 16x16 10.5wx33x16...not that that remotely applies

Come to think of it, I have the 10.5wx33x15 on an odd 13" beadlock Weld wheel...I can measure it when I get home if you wish?

If i were to try a 10.5w x 33 on a 14 inch rim, would it have less growth, due to the wide rim? Could i run it tubeless?
One other thing, on my 15.1 wide Goodyears on a 14 inch rim, the outside 2 inches on each tire look like they are not working as hard, maybe less heat during the burnout, or less contact due to distortion? My thinking is, if that is true, i am hauling extra wieght and slowing the car down as well. Opinions?

What 60 ft times are you seeing with the Hoosiers? Do you run them tubeless? Also, you mention 104 inch rollout. Do they run larger than the advertised numbers?

I have always liked MT, the 33 10.5W in either 15 or 16 inch rim is an amazing tire for no more tread than they have. They do give up too quick for me as a bracket type tire. Meaning the sidewall goes away fast on a heavy car.

I have been becoming a hoosier fan more, and more. On one car there isn't much room for more than the MT 33 10.5 15W. Hoosier has a 33 13 15 that is a great working tire. I went from a best 60 on the smaller MT at 1.14 to a 1.09 with the hoosier, and I think it'll take a good bit more on the hit tuning the shock some. Also doesn't lose any air between rounds, and the mickey would lose air in the lanes.

On another car I ran the 33 10.5 16W with tubes and it too was great, but gave up on the sidewall too fast with a 3400 pound car. Have it on a hoosier now, but dealing with what feels like the edge of shake, and I'm out of shock to stop it. So I know it hooks harder, but I'll need shocks mods now to run it. Now i just drop the air pressure to take bite away, when I'd rather get after it.

Last car is on the goodyear PS slick 33.5 17 16. Great, hooks, holds air, sub 1 sec 60' but I know is only good for a max of 20 runs, before the sides are gone. The Hoosier will go 50 says WJ, and a couple other guys I know that beat on tires.

I guess the short of it is, I'd have to give a very slight edge to Hoosier at this point for myself. Mostly due to construction of the tire. MT, and goodyear are hand wound tires. Hoosier is totally automated, and more consistent tire to tire. That being said I think either tire is just as fast in the right hands.
